Stephen Andersen was born in Burlington, Iowa and raised in Roscoe, Illinois. Son of and engineer, he was brought up thinking analytically, dissecting old cars and restoring them for fun. After graduating high school Stephen attended UW-Platteville for Mechanical Engineering. After discovering that engineering wasn’t for him he switched schools and majors.

Currently a senior student at Northern Michigan University Stephen has been working passionately towards his degree in Human Centered Design. Working hard to create new ideas in the field of design, he strives for excellence in every facet of his work. Stephen has entered several design competitions and exhibited his work at the Salone Satellite in Milan, Italy in April 2011. Looking towards the future Stephen hopes attend graduate school after Northern Michigan University.
